Further to our offer of a place on your chosen postgraduate course, please read and follow the information below on the next steps you need to take to join us here at BU.

Accepting your place

To reserve your place on your course, please:


September 2010 Entry

You will need to pay a non-refundable* deposit of £1000 (or £600 for MSc Management with Human Resource part-time) by 25 June 2010 with the balance of your fees due on enrolment. If you have received your offer email/letter after this deadline date, your deposit should be paid within four weeks of the date of your offer email/letter.

February 2011 Entry

You need to pay a non-refundable* deposit of £1000 (or £600 for Postgraduate Certificate Intellectual Property part-time) by 26 November 2010 with the balance of your fees due on enrolment. If you have received your offer email/letter after this deadline date, your deposit should be paid within four weeks of the date of your offer email/letter.

*Deposits will normally only be refunded if you cannot meet the conditions of your offer, and/ or, for non-EU students, if you are not granted a visa to come to the UK (subject to reasons of refusal). In both cases proof will be required.


How to pay deposit

You can pay your deposit in a number of ways:

  • Make your cheque or bankers draft payable to Bournemouth University
  • Send your cheque and Acceptance of Offer form along with your name and student reference number (shown at the top of your offer email) to:

  • Contact your bank to transfer the deposit payment in sterling into our account:

  • Please include your name, student reference number (shown at the top of your offer email) and course title on the transfer and receipt
  • Fax your Acceptance of Offer form and a copy of the transfer receipt to +44 (0) 1202 968833 or scan and email to kjabbari@bournemouth.ac.uk
  • Please note that your bank may charge a transfer fee. You should ask your bank for this charge to be taken into account in addition to the deposit payment to ensure we receive the full amount in sterling.

Sponsorship

  • If your company is funding your studies, they will be required to pay the full course fee, not a deposit, prior to enrolment
  • Fax your Acceptance of Offer form to +44 (0) 1202 968833 or scan and email to kjabbari@bournemouth.ac.uk
  • Ask your sponsor to download the Sponsorship Form (pdf 36kb)
  • Your sponsor will need to complete, sign and stamp the form. They will then need to send the form direct to:

Payment Information

Graduate discounts

Bournemouth University graduates will receive a 15% discount. No application is needed to qualify for this discount.

Additional payments

You are also welcome to make additional payments prior to enrolling on the course which will be deducted from your tuition fee. These additional payments can be made in the same way you pay your deposit.

Fees payment

It is essential that you are able to pay your fees at enrolment. To assist you in this we can offer a choice of two payment plans:

  • Payment in full at enrolment
    If you pay in full at enrolment you are entitled to a 5% discount (excluding sponsored students).
  • Payment in two instalments
    The first instalment must be paid at enrolment. The instalment of 50% of the full fee minus the deposit payment paid previously. The following instalment will be taken only by credit or debit card at a date specified by the University (January for students enrolling in September and April for students enrolling in February).

Confirmation of Place

We will notify you once we have received your deposit payment.

Once you receive confirmation from our Admissions Office of your deposit payment and your offer on your course is unconditional, you can now:


Book your accommodation

Full-time postgraduate courses

If you hold an unconditional offer, then you are able to apply for a place in University accommodation. Conditional offer holders need to meet the requirements of their offer before making an application for accommodation.

Part-time postgraduate courses

For flexible, short–term accommodation, there are a number of hotels and bed & breakfasts in the local area. For more information, view
